GIBRALTAR (VG) When Norway scored their third goal against Gibraltar, Ståle Solbakken (53) called out his two star forwards.
Erling Braut Haaland and Alexander Sørloth ran towards the touchline.
Due to the empty stands, it was easy to hear Solbakken’s questions to the duo:
– Who of you is going out?

Haaland and Sørloth looked at each other. They both shook their heads. Thus, Solbakken was so far away.
– I thought that if one of them had zero strength and wanted to go out, then they were two adults. It was a bit of luck for me, says the coach of the national team to VG.
A few minutes later he yelled at Haaland. It was Jærbuen who was sacrificed by substitute Joshua King.
– Alex didn’t play on Friday, so when I thought about it, I took out Erling. On Saturday, both of you must be prepared to run much more. It will be a completely different kind of match, says Solbakken and points to the settlement against Turkey in Malaga.
Sørloth confirms after the 3-0 victory over Gibraltar that he would never agree to voluntarily replace himself.
When asked what he thinks of Solbakken’s democratic approach, he looks at his boss and laughs.
– I think it was a bit funny. I think he got the answer that neither of us wanted out. We wanted to score more goals, Sørloth tells VG.

– I’ve never played such a good game before, laughs the Leipzig striker.
