A seven-year-old girl who lives with her mother disappeared in Sweden on Friday. Saturday night she was found.
Police suspected the girl was abducted by her father and another man, according to information found by Aftonbladet.
After extensive police efforts in Stockholm and Uppsala to find her, Expressen reports at 6.30pm that they found her and brought her to safety.
According to the Swedish media, the police have issued a national alarm in connection with the case.
The girl’s mother and uncle were said to have been assaulted and tied up, and then placed in a van driven by the girl’s father, while the daughter was placed in another van with the other man.
The incident was discovered when the mother managed to escape from the truck.
Expressen writes that the girl’s father, a Syrian citizen, has been arrested.
He must have cheated on his mother with lunch.
According to Expressen, it all started when the uncle was attacked by the girl’s father and another man. Then he must have been threatened with an object similar to a gun.
Second, the alleged kidnappers allegedly sent a text message from the uncle’s phone to his mother and tricked her into meeting him for lunch together.
The mother must have thought then that she would meet her uncle in the south of Stockholm. When she and her daughter arrived at the agreed place for lunch, they were attacked, according to the newspaper.
Escaped when the truck stopped at a stoplight
When the van the father was driving stopped at a red light in Alvsjö, south of Stockholm, the mother managed to get out of the car and run to another car to call for help.
The father then drove off and the mother followed him in the other car at the same time police were notified, according to information from Expressen.
The newspaper further writes that the father had disappeared without warning with the daughter and that he had previously been convicted of kidnapping the girl.
Last summer, he is said to have taken his daughter abroad, first to a southern European country and then to North Africa, without warning.
