The former Manchester United midfield hero disagrees with Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
It wasn’t a great night for Manchester United when they had to settle for a draw and 1-1 in the first quarter-final match against Italian AC Milan at Old Trafford.
Thus, they have a difficult starting point for the decisive second leg at San Siro.
United, however, seemed to flee with victory for a long time after great talent Amad Diallo sent the home team in the lead early in the second half.
But in extra time, the guests of the city of fashion got a draw when the Danish Simon Kjær stabbed the tie on a corner kick.

– Fair with a tie
United manager Solskjær makes no secret of the fact that he is disappointed with AC Milan’s late draw.
– Of course it makes it more difficult for us, but the second leg was always going to be demanding, Solskjær tells BT Sport.
The Norwegian, however, that United created enough chances to secure victory at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
– We could have scored one or two more goals, says the United manager and refers, among other things, to Daniel James’ chance after about 72 minutes.
At the same time, he adds that AC Milan also had great opportunities.
– A draw was a fair result, concludes Solskjær.

Surprise Scholes
That comment shocks former Manchester United hero Paul Scholes.
The former Solskjær teammate followed the match like an expert for BT Sport and in no way agrees with the Norwegian’s analysis.
– Ole said they deserved a draw? I really don’t think they did, Scholes says during the BT Sports broadcast after the game.
He thinks Manchester United were lucky to be able to settle for 1-1.
– It’s a bad result. 1-1 at home is a bad result, says the former United player.
Scholes believes that Solskjær’s men may have a hard time at San Siro in the second leg.
-I know they are well away from home, but they have to go to show it now in the second game that it will not be easy, says Scholes.
The return leg will be played on Thursday, March 18. Before then, Manchester United will be in action against West Ham in the Premier League next Sunday.
