The crown princess developed cold symptoms on Wednesday and the couple were diagnosed with the infection on Thursday. Now they are quarantined with the children, writes the royal house.

– Crown Princess and Prince Daniel have mild symptoms, but they are fine under the circumstances. Immediately after the illness, Crown Princess, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar were quarantined at home, according to the press release.

It is not yet known how the two were infected.

The Swedish royal family also claims that infection tracing has been started, under the supervision of the royal physician.

As a result of the infection, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess will not participate in the memorial service at Drottningholm Castle Church, which will be dispatched later tonight.

King Carl Gustaf (74) and Queen Silvia (77) of Sweden were vaccinated earlier this year.

Last year, Prince Carl Phillip and Princess Sofia tested positive for the coronavirus. They experienced some mild symptoms.

Sweden is the country in the Nordic region that has been most affected by the corona pandemic. So far, 13,111 people infected with corona in Sweden have lost their lives and a total of 707,192 cases have been recorded, according to figures from the Swedish Public Health Agency.
