– The night to Saturday has been characterized by a great disturbance of the night calm. We have been to every address where we have received reports of noise, as we were given time and opportunity. But in some places it was quiet when we arrived, says operations manager Steinar Hausvik in the West police district early Saturday morning.

– Have any of these parties violated the recommendations of the crown?

– I don’t have the impression of that. The messages we have received have been based on noise, noise and loud music. Some of these parties have been student parties, says Hausvik.

Most in the center

The complaints the police have received have mainly been about parties in the city center of Bergen.

– We have also received reports of parties in Skuteviken, Sandviken, in Nordnes, Nattland and towards Gyldenpris, says the director of police operations.

I had to come back

The last message about the noise of the party arrived until 05.56 on Saturday morning.

– We have told people to calm down. We also had to go back a couple of directions because it didn’t calm down after the first time we were there. Last weekend we also had a series of chores related to party noise, says Hausvik.

Last Sunday night, the police stopped a party outside the Kong Academy Awards with 50 participants.

According to the police, the party had been going on for a day when it stopped and several neighbors must have been very desperate.

National infection control guidelines do not recommend having more than five guests in the home in addition to those you live with. However, as this is not a court order, the police do not have the authority to impose fines.
