OBERSTDORF / OSLO (VG) TV 2 reporter Ernst A. Lersveen (68) lost his accreditation at the World Ski Championships on Friday. Espen Solbakken, the channel’s news leader, explains why.
– I confirm that I lost the accreditation, says Lersveen after the male change to VG.
More than that, the experienced reporter would not say about the case.
Espen Solbakken, TV 2 Sporten news editor, explains what should have happened:
– We have received a message from Infront (rights manager) that has filmed from an area where it was not allowed. There are also different opinions about Ernst trying to interview where he was. His version is that he asked how far Norway was behind when it came to trading, says Solbakken.

– How does Lersveen see the case?
– You just told us what happened, and then you had to exercise down there. “We found solutions with our team the last two days where he is relatively lean with exercises,” says Solbakken.
Journalists must be accredited to enter the stadium and the press area. Accreditation applies to both the jumping field and cross-country skiing.
– We have received a message that there is a violation of the accreditation rules of what you are allowed to do. This is very strict considering the crown. We fully understand that, says Solbakken.
Lersveen has worked on TV 2 for many years in various roles. He has covered cross-country skiing for several years.
