– That was incredible. I have never beaten Mars and Tiril in a final round, in a sprint or anything like that. It is a first time for everything and it was fortunate that it was in a World Cup, said a very happy Tandrevold after the joint start.
– You have not won a single jet
The second at Eckhoff was also a surprise for Tandrevold in a two-man team with Mars Olsbu Røiseland, who made a quick decision when he heard it.

– I really tried to lie on the back of Mars, but then I heard Tiril coming from behind. I train with Tiril every day and have not won a single sprint in my entire life against Tiril or Mars. So now I really thought that now you just have to go. I don’t really remember what happened, I was so tired I just walked. I almost think I have to see it again.
That tactic worked and Tandrevold clinched his second individual championship medal after winning bronze at normal distance.
– I’m having a great time. I think I almost have to get back to the hotel before it’s time to sink into this championship.
At the same time, his teammate Eckhoff became the queen of the championship, with six medals out of seven possible.

– Here and now I wish I had won an individual medal after the championship. But if I see it a bit big, I am very happy to get to shooting position and now I know what I will do for the rest of the season, Røiseland summed up and continued:
– I hope to get some championships where I don’t think the south was the bronze medal in Pokljuka that would decide if I had a good race or not.
And the queen of this year’s World Cup is sure that the queen of last year will rise.
