Police have received many reports of wild driving at Fjellsiden in Bergen. A truck is said to have hit a fire truck in Persenbakken.

– This started in Persenbakken. The fire brigade was run over by a small truck moving towards Fjellveien. The car must have hit a tree. The driver has escaped, says operations manager Per Algrøy in the West Police District.

He has no further information at this time. Police are on the scene looking for the driver.

Witnesses say the car collided with a bus multiple times at the Mulen tipping point.

– We jumped out of the way to avoid being hit, says BT journalist Mads Bøym who was walking through the area when he saw the truck approaching.

He saw the car go up Mulesvingene.

– Arrived driving at high speed and crashed into a car that was parked. In the end, he hit a fence, says Bøyum.

– I’m a bit shocked here, says the CEO of the transport company.

According to him, the person who usually uses the car at home is with the keys. Therefore, he believes that the car must have been stolen. The last time the car was used was on Friday, before it was parked in downtown Bergen.

– Police wondered if anyone was driving today. “I just checked that and we don’t have that,” he says.
You have been informed that there is property damage after the car collided with other cars.

– This is very boring. I just have to get in the car to see what happened, he says.

Operations manager Per Algrøy says a little before 1:30 p.m. that they have no reason to believe that this is anything other than driving under the influence or someone who has stolen a car and is trying to flee.

– We have received no reports that anyone has been injured. We are in contact with the owner of the business, but have not received clarity as to whether the car has been stolen, says Algrøy.

Vanja Andersen and Rebecca Fugelli crossed the street and thought they would slow down when they reached Mulesvingene.

– When I saw that he was not braking, I only managed to jump away so as not to be hit from the side. The truck was not completely stable, says Vanja Andersen.

Then he heard a bang. Then he had crashed into another car.

– Then I called the police. It was very fast, says Andersen.
