After several cold days in southern Norway and mild temperatures in the far north of the country, it changes over the weekend.
On Friday morning, meteorologists posted on Twitter that the temperature gauge showed five degrees lower in Lindesnes, but three degrees higher in Honningsvåg. Something they point out is not entirely common for this time of year.
These temperatures would generally be the opposite. The reason for this abnormal difference is that high pressure has built up towards southern Norway. This leads to cooler air masses coming from Russia, the meteorologist on duty at the Tromsø Meteorological Institute, Charalampos Sarchosidis, told Nettavisen earlier this week.

Now it’s turning around
Temperatures will now change over the weekend. In southern Norway, the temperature will slowly rise over the weekend, and on Saturday we can expect sleet and snow that will turn into rain on Sunday.

Precipitation will hit the hardest in western Norway, but will also spread across eastern Norway this weekend.
In northern Norway, it will be a general building climate. The temperature will drop over the weekend and inland sleet and snow can be expected on the coast.
Wet and windy next week
Next week there will be more degrees in the west and south and the north will feel negative degrees again.
– The situation is upside down, that is, the meteorologists write on Twitter.
In addition, during the week there will be a great low pressure in the south that brings rain and snow to the whole country, in addition to strong winds.
