According to NRK’s experience, Reistad is ready for the Danish Esbjerg.
The 21-year-old will already be introduced as an Esbjerg player on Sunday, as far as NRK knows.
– It’s just a matter of waiting to see. It’s not something I should say anything about right now, Reistad tells NRK.
There she will be teammates with six other Norwegians next season.
Marit Malm Frafjord, Sanna Solberg and Kristine Breistøl helped secure the European Championship gold together with Reistad in December. Next season they will also play for the same club team.
– World class
– Vipers lose a player for the future with already a high international level. She will become a world-class player, says NRK handball expert Peder Langfeldt.
Reistad is considered one of the greatest handball talents in Europe.
Several big clubs in Europe have been sniffing out the 21-year-old in recent years. Among others Györ.
After this season, the contract with Vipers expires.
In February of last year, Reistad told NRK that he planned to sign a new contract with Vipers.
One year later, there will be an end point in Kristiansand.
Score against your new club
On Saturday night, Henny Reistad and Vipers just met Esbjerg in the Champions League. The Vipers seemed to have a comfortable opinion, as they scored six goals early in the second half.
But the Danes played their way back to the match. Ten minutes before the end, they took the lead 24-23 when Marit Røsberg Jacobsen overtook Katrine Lunde.
The match still ends 28-28.
Thus, the southerners continue the good trend in Europe. The club has yet to lose in the Champions League.
