Although climate activist Greta Thunberg (18) is very environmentally conscious, she does not judge those who buy clothes, fly and have children.

She says this in an interview with the Sunday Times magazine.

On Saturday, January 3, the world-famous climate activist turned 18. She tells the newspaper that she didn’t want any material for her birthday. I wanted everyone to do everything possible to save the planet.

Thunberg became world famous when she started her school strike in front of the Swedish Parliament in 2018. Every Friday she skipped school to sit there holding a sign that read “School Strike for Climate”.

This ended with a worldwide school strike called “Fridays for the Future.”

The 18-year-old believes it doesn’t hurt to be so environmentally conscious.

– In the worst case, I can buy used, but I don’t need new clothes. I know people with new clothes, so I ask them to lend me, he says.

– I don’t need to fly to Thailand to be happy. I don’t have to buy clothes that I don’t need, so I don’t think I’m sacrificing anything.

In 2019, she was named “Person of the Year” by Times magazine. She is the youngest person to receive this award.

In November, Aftonbladet reported that e-commerce giant Amazon views Thunberg as a threat to its business.

When asked by the Sunday Times magazine what Thunberg thinks of celebrities who comment on the climate crisis but fly around the world, she replied that she does not judge them.

– But others will, he added.

– I will not tell people what to do, but you run the risk of being criticized if you comment on a topic to do the opposite, says Thunberg.

The 18-year-old does not fly, she is vegan, she has stopped shopping.

Dropping planes or not having children are two of the most effective things that can be done to improve the weather, research shows. Writes The Guardian.

Thunberg says he doesn’t judge those who have children and doesn’t think he’s selfish.

– It is not the people that are the problem, but our behavior
