1. Dog patrol in landslide areas
Drones and helicopters searched the landslide area overnight. Both the dog and the Sea King dog trainer and rescuer have now been inside the landslide area. This has previously been considered too dangerous. But in the morning hours of New Year’s Eve, a police dog and a dog handler were fired to search the avalanche area.

The leader of the task, Dag Andre Sylju, says they still have hope of finding people alive.
– The search is still a rescue operation. We will continue with that until another decision is made, police said Thursday morning.
Police say there are very demanding conditions in the landslide zone. The landslide is still moving. All work must be done from the air. Use drones and heat search camera.
– It is dangerous to move around the area. It is completely inappropriate to put the crew on foot in that area now, Sylju said.
– Have observations been made from the air of the alleged deceased?
– No, we have not yet made observations of the alleged person from the air, says Sylju when asked by Aftenposten.

2. The dog was rescued
A missing dog named “Zajka” was rescued last night. It was located using a drone with a heat search camera. The dog was then taken out by helicopter at 01:40.
The Dalmatian remained in the home when the family was evacuated by helicopter, writes NRK. You will meet with the family on Thursday morning.
