On Christmas Eve 2019, it was “Three Nuts for Cinderella” which was the TV favorite of Norwegians on Christmas Eve. Up to 768,000 watched the show, corresponding to a market share of up to 71 percent.

VG has previously written about how NRK and TV 2 this year have prepared for a battle over the holiday classics in a reunion with the great streaming giants.

But, it’s just to breathe a sigh of relief: because “Three Nuts for Cinderella” airs this year, like last year at 11.00.

The popular movie was originally made in a German and a Czech version, where half were dubbed into the other language. In the version that airs on NRK every year since 1975, everyone speaks Norwegian with the voice of Knut Risan.
