Her boss denies that the woman was unaware of the quarantine rules upon entering. In the ruling, District Court Judge Rikke Lassen writes:

Prosecutors happy with the verdict
Police attorney Karianne Worren, who is the prosecutor in the case, thought it was particularly aggravating that she worked as a health secretary in a GP’s office.
– These people have shown up physically in medical offices, despite the pandemic, because they need medical help. They should feel safe when they do it, he said during the trial.
The police attorney is satisfied with the verdict.
– We are pleased that the court has agreed with the prosecution that this is a serious violation of the infection control provisions. Most of the judges have also agreed on what is an appropriate punishment, so in summary we are satisfied with the court’s assessment, Worren tells VG.
– What is the opinion of the prosecution about the reason for your conviction?
– Seriously, and it is a type of violation of infection control provisions that, according to the police, must be dealt with strictly, especially for general preventive reasons. The court agrees with that, says the police attorney.
The sentence is not final until the woman has decided whether to appeal to the Court of Appeal.
The women’s advocate, attorney Annette Barlinn, requested that the woman be sentenced to community service.
– My client is very disappointed with the strict reaction, says Barlinn to Avisa Oslo.
– I consider the sentence to be very strict. I will now review the verdict with the client and we will consider whether to appeal.
