Molde coach Erling Moe received harsh criticism for having “put the cabinet in its place” earlier in the season. On Sunday he was able to taste his own medicine.
– We just have to praise this, this is in a good mood. I met the guys when I came this morning, they were nice guys with a good mood. I really appreciate those stunts, Erling Moe tells VG.
After Molde beat Bodø / Glimt 4-2, the league champions’ only loss this season, Molde’s manager declared that “it was great to put the wardrobe in place.”

He thought it was funny, but not everyone was smiling at all. In the following week, he received a host of critical messages from outraged Glimt supporters. And now the Northerners have secured the league championship.
– I don’t think everyone understood that I said it with a smile on my face. When you get to some sore spots, you have to bear to recover a little.
The cabinet is chained to the railing outside the Aker Stadium, with a lock code, they will release the code until 20:00, after Molde’s match against Haugesund is complete.
– Congratulations to the Glimt fans. Let it rest. The more things like that the better, praises Moe.
Per-Magnus Amdam Johansen is one of two southern Glimt supporters behind the initiative. He says there were many who wanted to come up with something fun after the league gold was secured, and they got a conspirator out of them.
– We raised some money to buy cabinets and paint, and we found it at a recycling site. At 9AM on Sunday we got it up and it has taken off online ever since, says Johansen.
On the microblogging service Twitter, the discussion is hot and also the Glimt i Sør Facebook page has received several hundred shares and likes. Avisa Nordland has already covered the case.
