The relegation was definitely clear after the club lost 1-3 to Brann in Bergen on Saturday night. Daouda Bamba scored three goals and became the great hero of the Western people.
After the game, he received a good hug from the old coach, whom he sent in the Obosliga.
– Bamba is a great guy and works very hard. I like that he succeeds, but could easily have waited for a match, says the Aalesund coach.
To Brann, it looks pretty brilliant. After two straight wins, they now have 31 points and can probably prepare for a new season in the Elite Series.

Lost AaFK

11 points in 26 games played is too little for Strømsgodset to qualify with 23 points (25 games), it can be recovered.
Aalesund scored 79 points in 30 Obosligaen games last year and scored 67 goals. 2020 was not a good year in the most generous soccer league in the country.

Bamba formed me
The first round was characterized by a great mastery of fire. But it was a long time before opportunities arose.

Hat trick
Lars Arne Nilsen was upbeat in the TV break interview, saying there were opportunities to score points because it wasn’t exactly Barcelona they were up against tonight, but they were at least significantly better than Aalesund.
Many thanks to Bamba. He scored his third goal of the afternoon at 60 minutes. Substitute goalkeeper Andreas Lie slammed a post into the forward’s legs.

The people of Bergen have had a very good week. On Tuesday, coaching duo Kåre Ingebrigtsen and assistant Eirik Horneland fought back hard at the reunion with Trondheim after both had to resign from their coaching position at RBK for two years. The latter’s successor, Åge Hareide, was defeated 3-2.
A week ago, Brann was one point above the standings.
– It was good for us to complete a week like this and get six points. There are good performances at the bottom so we are here with six deserved points, said Kåre Ingebrigtsen.
Now they have gained a respite and peace.

In Bergen, they will probably avoid the fight against relegation. For Aalesund, that result was inevitable this year.
PS: Daouda Bamba has scored half of her goals in 2020 against Aalesund. Five goals against AaFK out of 10 in total. A Brann forward has not scored more than ten goals since Kim Ojo in 2012. The last hat trick in the Elite Series for the Bergen team was Bård Finne in 2013.
