“Jared and Ivanka are ready to return to a New York society that no longer welcomes them,” CNN proclaimed two weeks ago.
The channel claimed that the celebration in the streets of New York after Joe Biden’s electoral victory made one thing very clear: that the Trump family is no longer welcome in the metropolis.
Writer, actress and longtime member of the Upper East Side social elite, Jill Kargman, is among those who have been highly critical of a possible return of the couple.
– The president has been so condescending and divisive towards New York, when he has described the city as a nightmare, or “it has been.” No one here will forget it. Going back after everything you’ve said won’t work, he tells the channel.
For the New York Times, Kargman says she believes the couple will be placed in what she describes as a “social prison.”

Several US media are now wondering if Ivanka Trump (39) and her husband Jared Kushner (39) plan to return to New York, and what the social elite couple would expect if that happened.
Both Ivanka and Jared have served as advisers to the president and will have to leave the White House in January.
Several members of the society community apparently support Kargman’s statements and claim that the couple will experience they have been excluded after years on the president’s staff. Some, on the other hand, believe that the chances of returning to the heat are very high.
Ivanka has been a natural part of the world of art and fashion for several years, but various media have written that the president’s daughter no longer has a big star in the environment.
Mike Da Paola, an art collector and board member of several galleries, tells the New York Times that he knows of many galleries that “would rather go bankrupt than accept money from Trump.”
If they returned to New York, the family would arrive in a city still plagued by coronary restrictions. Restaurants are limited in capacity, and the charity galas and museums for which New York’s elite are known have been put on hiatus, notes The Guardian.
In other words, the opportunities to re-mix with the heat, or experience cold shoulders, will be limited in any case for the near future.

There is great enthusiasm for what Ivanka Trump in particular will do next. So far, neither she nor her husband have publicly commented on plans related to her career or place of residence.
However, they have kept the apartment on the Upper East Side and are also considering spending more time in New Jersey, sources told CNN. According to the New York Times, the couple have expanded their vacation home in New Jersey, an hour’s drive from Manhattan.
There is also speculation that they will follow the president, who changed his address to Florida last year.
Regarding their careers, several of Ivanka and Jared are expected to return to their jobs in their respective family businesses: the Trump Organization and Kushner Companies.
However, it is worth mentioning that the Trump Organization will probably not be the most stable workplace in the world when Donald Trump steps down as president.
The district attorney’s office in Manhattan wants the claw on Trump’s tax return, which is part of what is known as a complex investigation of the president’s economy. Financial crimes are alleged to have been committed in the organization for several years.
