Marte Bratberg withdrew from “Skal vi danse” after Saturday’s semi-final. Thus, Nate Kahungu and Andreas Wahl are ready for the final.

On Saturday, he was ready for the semi-finals in “Skal vi danse”, and it was Marte Bratberg, Nate Kahungu and Andreas Wahl who fought for the last two places.

The three celebrities did two dances each, and after a couple semifinal, Wahl and Bratberg had to go out to a dance duel.

In the end, it became clear that Marte Bratberg dropped out of the competition and therefore Nate Kahungu and Andreas Wahl are ready for the final.

– Right now I’m really sorry. Not that I would have expected to go that far, but especially since you’re so close and a week into the whole experience, Bratberg tells VG after the broadcast.

She and her dance partner Benjamin Jayakoddy had already made plans about what they would do if they made it to the final.

– You have to adapt, so that’s what makes it heavier, says Jayakoddy.

Bratberg says that she is very proud of the development she has had and that she cannot thank her dance partner enough.

– Benjamin is a man of miracles. Those who know me are probably sickeningly surprised. I’m the one who trips on the stairs and manages to trip over myself; I’ve walked 16 times on crutches, he says.

– It has been an honor to spend this fall with Mars. We have worked very hard, I have had a great time and I have had a lot of fun. I’m really upset that she doesn’t have a place in the final, adds Jayakoddy.

They say they will miss and dance just the same, but that skipping training has its benefits, too.

– My legs hurt so much that I almost want to cut them off. So in that sense, it may be good not to practice anymore, says Bratberg.

Getting a few extra hours in the eye should be delicious too, she says.

– We have not had time to have a single beer, so now I think we should have a beer, he laughs.

Pot full

Nate Kahungu and Helene Spilling escaped a dance duel and thus secured a direct spot in the final.

– A few weeks ago I was out of competition and now I’m in the final. He is completely ill, said Kahungu.

In the semi-finals, they first jive danced to the beat of A-ha and impressed the judges with synchronized movements.

– It is about dancing to the end, and with this achievement I mean that you are on the right track, said Merete Lingjærde.

They got a full pot from the judges in the first dance and 39 points for dance number two, which was a tango.

Andreas Wahl and his dance partner Mai Mentzoni were the first to go on stage. Before the broadcast, Wahl told VG that it would be “hot” as they would use flames in the performance.

From the judges, they received 32 points for their first dance and some mixed comments.

– Maybe I wish you had nailed it a little better. A bit off the charts for me, Trine Dehli Cleve said.

However, when it was later in the tango broadcast, the atmosphere was a little different.

– Now you’re a bit where you need to be. Dritbra, by Egor Filipenko.

They were rewarded with 39 points, which meant a lot for a clearly touched Wahl.

– Super performance

Mars Bratberg and Benjamin Jayakoddy also received mixed comments.

– This was a mark that it is a semi-final, a little nervous, said Dehli Cleve.

– It’s good to disagree a bit. “I think you were quite a rock star,” Filipenko said, awarding the couple a ten.

And dozens could also be taken with them for their samba.

– The physique that you have grown and developed. It was a great achievement, really, said Lingjærde.

They got 35 points for slowfox and 38 points for samba.

After the dance duel, Cleve and Filipenko wanted to see Bratberg, while Linjgjære and Petterson wanted to see Wahl in the final.

– I do not breathe

– I will enjoy what may be the last time, and then I will try to focus and do my best to get to the final, Bratberg told VG before tonight’s broadcast.

He then also recounted how he collapsed during dance rehearsals last week.

– I fell on the parquet and couldn’t breathe.

Wahl said a few hours before the broadcast that he was ready to “give it his all.”

– Tonight I’ll dance like the last thing I do. Now we’ve come this far and I really want to be between the two of them in the final, he says.

Due to the situation of the crown, the semifinals were held a bit out of the ordinary.

– We have decided to run the last two broadcasts of “Skal vi danse” without the audience, says program editor Kathrine Haldorsen.

She says viewers will temporarily not notice a particular difference.

– We can promise that everyone at home will also feel the intensity and joy of dancing, even if we can’t have the audience present now.

These were the referee’s points on Saturday night:

Andreas and May: 32 points, 39 points, 71 points in total

2. Marte & Benjamin – 35 points, 38 points, a total of 73 points

3. Nate & Helene – 40 points, 39 points, a total of 79 points
