The Egyptian Football Association claims that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah (28) tested positive for coronavirus.
Salah is currently in the training camp for the national team with Egypt.
Egypt will face Togo twice in the next few days in qualifying for the African Championship. The games are played on Saturday and Tuesday, but it will be without the Liverpool star, who has tested positive for covid-19.
According to the BBC, Salah could also lose Liverpool’s next two games against Leicester and Atalanta.

Earlier on Friday, it was announced that Norwegian Omar Elabdellaoui tested positive, and during the previous national team’s break in October, Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for the virus.

However, the salah must be symptom-free and in good shape. The Egyptian Football Association states in the press release that Salah will do more tests in the next few hours.

Salah is by far the biggest soccer star in Egypt and a popular hero in his home country.
