He is now the player with the ninth highest number of goals in the Premier League. That list is headed by Alan Shearer with 260 goals. With today’s goal, Kane touched Michael Owen. So he’s on his way to rise among the greats in Premier League history.
And only Sergio Agüero (217 games) and Alan Shearer (212 games) have scored 150 goals faster than Kane, who dedicated 218 games to that feat. Earlier this week, he also scored his official Tottenham 200th goal, including all tournaments.

And now Tottenham lead the Premier League before Liverpool play Manchester City away in a match that starts at 5.30pm. Totenham now have 17 points and are one point ahead of Southampton and Liverpool. Leicester can also take the top of the table with a win in the game against Wolverhampton, which started at 15. So it may be a short time on the throne for Tottenham.
