The Manchester United manager believes that the matches are set for the team to fail, after the away win against Everton.
– We’ve had enough of that, says Solskjær in a TV 2 interview.
Manchester United returned to England on Thursday after losing to Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League the day before. Two days later, he was ready for an away game against Everton for a team that has struggled to stabilize results this season. It’s been going from top to bottom all fall. Criticism against Solskjær has risen and this week the local Manchester Evening News wrote that the club should have contacted former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Now Solskjær reacted to the fact that they played a match early on Saturday after the trip to Istanbul and got enough.
– We were prepared to fail. Today we have Luke Shaw injured because we have played a lot of games, we were in Turkey on Wednesday night, we come home on Thursday morning and we have an early game today. It’s totally devastating, says Solskjær.

He also praised his players for what they did against Everton, where they rose again after the defeat in Istanbul.
– These guys deserve better than being thrown here for failing, says Solskjær.
Solskjær did not finish criticizing more:
– How can you prepare us for an early match on Saturday after a match in Turkey on Wednesday night? Liverpool and Manchester City play each other, okay, they played on Tuesday and then they play on Sunday. Who is responsible for them? We have had enough. I’ve had enough of that, says Solskjær, who was clearly in a bad mood after the match, which was important to his position at the club after highly mixed results this season.

– We must understand how mentally and physically exhausting this pandemic is, and so we are set up this way. We lost Luke Shaw to it, says Solskjær, who continued his tirade:
– Prepare for Sunday then? There is no problem. There is a break from the national team immediately. That is a joke.

TV 2 expert Erik Thorstvedt understands that Solskjær is reacting.
– You can do it when you’ve won. Had he lost, he would have looked like a pathetic loser, Thorstvedt says in the live TV studio after the interview.
However, he points out that there is probably a reason games are organized like this, and notes that it is an extreme puzzle this season.
– He’s extremely demanding now with the Champions League setup. They are hardly trained. People must understand how difficult it is, says Thorstvedt.
