WASHINGTON DC (VG) As US President Donald Trump follows the election results from the White House, protesters have gathered outside.
In Black Lives Matter Plaza, 150 meters from the White House, a few hundred people have gathered, most to show their discontent with the president.
The rhythmic screams of Black Lives Matter are occasionally shouted out and large posters with “Eliminate Trump” and “Trump lies all the time” are displayed.
Several have also brought in speakers from which music is played, and some dance and enjoy themselves.
– When I voted, I had blacks in mind. What will protect black DC residents? People who were born here and raised here, says Laura Jackson (33), who has not surprisingly voted for Joe Biden of the Democrats.

Because despite the fact that Washington DC is the headquarters of the US president, the Republican Donald Trump does not have all the worldwide support in the population: Biden has been declared the winner of the elections in the capital by the US media, and he will bring the three voters.
– I voted for Joe Biden. I think he will win, but you never know, DC resident Joshua (29) tells Black Lives Matter Plaza’s VG.
He believes there is some danger that Trump will not accept the election result if he loses.
– I think that people can take to the streets after these elections.

In the 1920s, local time, the atmosphere in the place is calm and peaceful, but throughout the evening a wide atmosphere was reported in some places.
Several also wear helmets and gas masks, which they hang on the outside of their backpacks. Many shops in the city also used Monday to cover windows and doors with wooden boards.
There are also several police officers in the area, but most are within a couple of blocks. If things go from being peaceful to more chaotic, they can move quickly.
– It is not clear if we will get a result tonight, maybe not even until later in the week. So we’re just not completely sure what will happen, Police Chief Peter Newsham tells NBC Washington.
