Cities: Skylines (PlayStation 4)

This month PlayStation Plus offers the Cities Builder: Skylines game. In a good SimCity spirit, build and maintain a city through trouble and hassle. We don’t have the gimmick of the console version, but the PC version is at least a good game in the genre.

– Cities: Skylines is simply a very well made and well working urban construction game. In many ways, that’s exactly what everyone expected and expected SimCity to be when it arrived. The main reason it’s so good is because it takes little away from the core of the game, our reviewer wrote of the game.

The game is available on the PlayStation Store between May 5 and June 1 »

Farming Simulator 19 (PlayStation 4)

The other PlayStation game is probably a simulation game, but of the more rural type. In Farming Simulator 19, you shouldn’t, surprisingly, manage a farm. This means that you take care of everything from the animals to the harvest, the tractor and the combine. You can also support farm work on horseback, if you wish. The point is, anyway, to make sure things are going around, in a pretty impressive setting.

The series has grown more and more in recent years, and has a very loyal fan base. Since the release of Farming Simulator 19 on PC in 2018, the game has received a lot of praise, among user comments on Steam.

V-Rally 4 (Xbox One)

In V-Rally 4, you are going to run cross rally, with all that goes with it. Hard lanes, over 50 vehicles to choose from, and a variety of donation testing options are some of the things the developer boasts of. Unfortunately, we haven’t tested the car game, but note that the predecessor V-Rally 3 came out in 2002 (!). the it’s a long break, that!

The action role-playing game Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor: Martyr went unnoticed when it launched in 2018. Here, you will guide the Empire’s lead agent through the Warhammer universe as you execute the Emperor’s mandate. You can either play alone or you can take up to three friends on an adventure.

The game was developed by the Hungarian NeocoreGames who have been behind the King Arthur series and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, so you understand what you have in store here.

The pass on this month’s subscription sausage is perhaps this soccer gift. A good deal probably has a relationship with Sensible World of Soccer from before. If not: The 1992 soccer game has been mythologized and got some sequels, but the 1994 Sensible World of Soccer game is considered the best. Overlord II (Xbox One and Xbox 360)

Dutch Triumpf Studios is perhaps best known for the Age of Wonders strategy series, but in the 2000s they embarked on a series of games with a fairly unique starting point. You control the hero Overlord, while controlling an army of little goblins in real time. There are different types of these little racks that do different things. This was pretty fun a few years before Despicable Me and Minions took their leave.

Overlord II was well received by us when it arrived in 2009.

– Overlord II is a solid and entertaining genre mix with lots of humor and rock solid presentation. It doesn’t represent a huge step forward compared to its predecessor, but it does offer some little news that still makes it feel reasonably cool. In other words, if you liked its predecessor, Overlord II is a pretty safe purchase. If you haven’t had experience with this series before, it’s good to get in first, as Overlord II is definitely one of the best releases of the summer so far, our reviewer wrote.
