On Monday, statistics from the European Infection Control Agency (ECDC) show that all countries in Europe are currently in the red, according to Aftenposten.
In the past, Latvia, Cyprus and Liechtenstein had fewer than 20 infected per 100,000 inhabitants, which is the limit of the National Institute of Public Health for countries that recommend the government on the red list. Now, however, the ECDC survey shows that these countries have also turned red.
According to the survey, Spain has been the most affected with 319.3 infected per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days. They are followed by the Czech Republic with 311.8 and France with 246.8. In comparison, the infection pressure in Norway is 28.2 infected per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.

Health Director Bjørn Guldvog took advantage of Wednesday’s press conference to express his concern about the situation in Europe. Spain was one of the countries that chose to highlight.
– Spain is in a very demanding situation. We see that the number of deaths is increasing again and that the health service has problems offering treatment to the population at the level to which it is accustomed. They also have trouble testing and tracking infections at the level we are used to in Norway, Guldvog told Dagbladet, continuing:
– There are many countries that report a shortage of health personnel. It is clear that when the spread of infection becomes very great and the number of patients increases dramatically, capacity problems occur. It can also happen in Norway if we have very high infection rates.
