DRAMMEN (VG) (Strømsgodset – Sarpsborg 0-0) Strømsgodset has played five games in the Eliteserien without winning. It could have been a loss rather than a draw if veteran leader and Sarpsborg rookie Guillermo Molins (32) had hit a little better.
The Uruguayan-born Swede entered through Mos Abdellaoue in the first half. Seconds before the break, he had an unprecedented opportunity on his birthday. He hit the ball on the crossbar. It could easily have been the dream start for Molins, who broke the contract with Malmö FF eight weeks ago.
– I’m here to win. And help Sarpsborg to get as many victories as possible, says Guillermo Molins.

He has played for Anderlecht, Real Betis and Panathinaikos. He is now in Sarpsborg on a three-month contract replacing Jørgen Strand Larsen, which was bought by Dutch Groningen.
– There will be goals. Many goals. How many? We’ll see, says Molins.
Sarpsborg is undefeated in three games. Nor has he conceded goals in this period. But we have to go back to August 16 (3-2 over Haugesund), the last Drammen team won.
– These are not us at all. I don’t understand what we’re doing, Strømsgodset manager Henrik Pedersen tells Eurosport after 0-0 for the second weekend in a row.
The first 45 minutes had nothing to offer. There are no qualified scoring chances. Not until Molins hit the ball against the metal.
Until then, the best entertainment, if you can call it that, took place outside the artificial turf at Marienlyst. Strømsgodset coach Henrik Pedersen took care of that when he received a yellow card for violent use of the mouth against referee Kristoffer Hagenes, and you can hear what he yelled in Danish here:
Pedersen notes that colleague Mikael Stahre’s quick change from his usual 3-4-3 to 4-4-1-1 was blocked by Godset.
– The last 15 minutes were more equal. But the first ending they have is at 45 minutes. In the second half, we are the ones trying to create something, Pedersen believes.
– This may not have deserved the best airtime on television. But we take with us that we keep zero on the road and have been solid backwards, says Sarpsborg cap Bjørn Inge Utvik to Eurosport.
It started surprisingly even after the change of sides. It certainly didn’t smell like a goal. It wasn’t until Strømsgodset had two gigantic chances after just over an hour of play. Substitute Moses Mawa (should have started) dribbled and tricked Sarpsborg goalkeeper David Mitov Nilsson into the area. But the end stopped at the line. Johan Hove scored the return on goal. That ball was also blocked in the densely packed Sarpsborg defense.
The home team had dominated the game and produced some useful chances. Like when Lars-Jørgen Salvesen headed just outside and Horne’s shot hit just outside. But it could have quickly ended with a goal for the Eastfolds when Viljar Myhra had to head out with a header from teammate Kristoffer Tokstad when Mohamed Ofkir launched a free kick in the Godset area.
– One of the annoying fights. Nothing happens! It’s such a boring soccer game. There are almost no chances. Only defensive battle. Ballmist and we didn’t get to any games. Then you get replaced ten minutes before the end, when you want to give it a try, sums up Sarpsborg’s Tobias Heintz, who lets his body language show what he thinks about being replaced when he left the field.
