VG reviews song by song – VG

For the remaining eight contestants on “Star Wars,” there was great excitement when not just one, but two contestants had to leave the show on Saturday night.

This will be updated after no one has disappeared on show number three, as a result of NRK having trouble with SMS voices.

In the fifth show of the season, the stage was set for Norwegian in Norwegian, and performers were required to make their own cover of popular songs.

It was rapper Myra and Alex Rosén who smoked at “Star Fight” tonight.

Myra, whose real name is Regina Tucker, He was one of the entertainers who really impressed the judges during tonight’s show.

– For me, Myra was clearly the best. If she is not voted for by the hip hop show, she would go so far as to say it would have simply been a scandal, guest judge Tuva Syvertsen said before it was clear who smoked.

The rapper performed the song “Diamonds and Cherries” by John Olav Nilsen & Gjengen, and four of the VG critics rolled the dice.

For VG, Myra says that it is sad to break out, but that she is happy with her own efforts.

– It has been incredibly nice to be a part of this. She was determined to go out and smoke, so it wasn’t a big surprise, she says.

The rapper says she took a new turn in life by trying completely unfamiliar genres for several weeks.

– I am happy to have sung the last five weeks. I have entered completely new landscapes and have learned many new things, he says.

Myra says it’s a bit sad that the show is blowing up before the artists tackle their own genre.

– But luckily I do hip hop like always, he says.

– Sadder than Myra came out

Alex Rosén performed the rock song “Schwong” by Raga Rockers, and says he is not surprised to have to leave “Stjernekamp” after Saturday’s performance.

– Now I’m out and it’s a bit sad. But it’s even sadder that Myra left and didn’t move in until next week. Then she would have put on the best show, she says.

Even though Rosén received a second from the VG reviewer, he himself believes he did a good performance.

– Tonight I think I gave the most beautiful show so far, he says.

Rosén says it has been fun but also demanding to be a part of “Star Wars.”

– A great challenge

The guest judges for this evening were Tuva Syvertsen and Christine Dancke.

Syvertsen, known as the leader of the Valkyrien Allstars group, has been a mentor to the artists this week. She tells VG that she is very excited to see the contestants’ performances.

– A big challenge is always making other people’s songs, and managing and customizing them in an elegant way. It’s not easy, Syvertsen said.

Syvertsen herself has been involved in “Star Wars”, when she was ranked second in the first season, in 2012. As a mentor, therefore, first of all, she has tried to calm the participants.

– I know what it feels like to be halfway there. They start to get quite stressed, two explode and acquire the competitive instinct. Then it’s so easy to get lost, he said.

The judging panel also included Christine Dancke, who is the NRK P3 host, songwriter, and well-known music expert. She says she has high expectations of artists.

– I feel like it’s Christmas Eve and eight presents will be served, Dancke said.
