Tom Hagen was jailed for four weeks on Wednesday night. Appeal the ruling, says his defender.
This confirms the defendant Svein Holden in an SMS to Aftenposten.
– He is disappointed and surprised. The award will be appealed, Holden told Dagbladet.
Police requested four weeks in custody for the murder of Tom Hagen and were granted a hearing in the Lower Roman District Court. The garden was also placed on letter and visitor bans, as well as two weeks of isolation.
The court believes it is more than 50 percent likely that Hagen killed his wife Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, who went missing from his home on October 31, 2018.
The disappearance was initially investigated as a financially motivated kidnapping, but police now believe they were wrong to believe that the woman was kidnapped to cover up a murder.
