“Lilyhammer” star had to amputate leg due to coronavirus, then blood poisoned

Earlier this month, it emerged that actor Nick Cordero, 41, had to have his leg amputated after receiving a blood clot in his leg as a result of the corona virus.

Since then, his wife Amanda Kloots, 38, has shared several updates on social media about how her husband is doing.

Cordero and his wife hoped that the situation would improve after the amputation, but now it turns out that he has received blood poisoning as a result of a lung infection.

– We had a difficult day yesterday. Nick suffered a lung infection that entered the bloodstream and suffered from blood poisoning. The reason for this was infection of the lungs, so doctors came in and cleaned his lungs and gave him blood pressure medications to stabilize his blood pressure, says Amanda Kloots in an update on Instagram.

Despite the unexpected complications, Kloots says her husband is now feeling much better and is making great progress.

– Now, bit by bit, he’s befriending the blood pressure medication and has been given strong antibiotics to clear the infection in his lungs, she says.

Nick Cordero is known for having acted in various Broadway musicals and movies. In 2014 she also played the role of Pasquale Lento in the Norwegian series “Lilyhammer”.

Cordero married dancer Amanda Kloots in 2017, and last year they reunited their son Elvis. She has said on several occasions that she is afraid of what will happen to her husband.
