Alexis Sánchez will return to Manchester United

That’s true in itself: Sánchez, 31, a big star at Arsenal, hasn’t shown the same hint of greatness for the Red Devils. At the moment he is on loan at Inter Italian, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær believes that Sánchez still has a future at United.

The Guardian has spoken with former Chile national team manager Juan Antonio Pizzi, who he believes has a possible solution to the problem.

– Arsenal was perfect for Alexis, but suddenly he changed cities, coach, teammates and fans. Sometimes you adapt easily, other times it takes longer, says Pizzi.

– When it comes to Alexis, it took too long. He didn’t seem to be able to relate emotionally to this. The consequence is that attitude is brought out in acting, says Pizzi.

He believes his stay at Inter will do Alexis good.

– I really hope so. I think you can find inspiration and form, in which case it will be very important to United.

The Chilean arrived from Arsenal at Manchester United in 2018 and received the seal as the greatest failure in the history of the club. He scored five goals in a total of 45 games.

In the New Year, Solskjær confirmed that Alexis will return to United during the summer.

– You have an opportunity to prove everyone was wrong, says the manager.

The weekly salary is claimed to have been around NOK 5 million at United. The club reportedly still pays half of this.

Sánchez himself was out and regretted the poor performance of a year ago.

– Personally, I did not perform as well as I expected due to unforeseen injuries. The press and people wonder about things that are not true. I have always been a professional in all fields, Sánchez wrote on Instagram, without entering into speculation.
