This update comes hours after filmmaker Milap Zaveri tweeted wrongly this morning, stating that the director died while he was still alive and on life support in hospital.
“Just talk to someone who is currently in the hospital with Nishikant. He has not died yet. Yes, he is critical and fought life and death. But he is still alive,” Zaveri explained in a tweet.
“Unfortunately, the end seems inevitable every moment. But so far Nishikant is still on fan,” he wrote in a separate tweet.
The tweets caused a lot of confusion on social media prompting the director’s friends to ask fans to offer prayers for the director.
Fans of the star were quick to flood social media with condolence messages and note of love for the filmmaker, thanking him for his contribution to the craft and entertainment sector.
