Fans have spent the past few days studying Gigaleak, a Nintendo security breach that resulted in the release of proprietary files belonging to classic games, such as Super mario 64. While it’s hard to summarize the incredible amount of stuff people are discovering within Gigaleak, fans have been obsessed with snippets, particularly characters who have never seen the light of day.
the The world of Super Mario The archives, for example, have presented the world with an unused sprite sheet containing an elongated raptor-shaped version of Yoshi. The graphics show this strange version of Yoshi doing what our real reptilian friend does, like throwing fire or using his long tongue to eat. stuff. But Yoshi this is not.

Actually, this version of Yoshi seems to have more in common with ‘Skinny Mario’, the lanky version of the plumber introduced in Super mario maker. Unsurprisingly, some fans are pairing the two together for maximum rarity.
Fans are so excited about the beta version of Yoshi that there are plenty of fan art for him, most of whom celebrate his appearance and strangely satisfied face. These are some of our favorite social media reactions, including some renderings showing beta Yoshi on the move.
