Nintendo is bringing three classic video games from its favorite Mario franchise to the Nintendo Switch, hoping to gain gaming momentum during the Coronavirus epidemic before the holidays.

In a release marking the 35th anniversary of the series on Thursday, Nintendo announced remixed versions of some of its best-known 3D titles, including the 1996 Super Mario 64, the 2002 Super Mario Sunshine, and the 2007 Super Mario Galaxy. The games will be bundled in a package called Nintendo Super Mario 3D All Stars, and will be released on a “limited” basis from September 18 to March 31, 2021.

Nintendo also entered other games, including a mixed reality version of Mario Kart called Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, which allows users to connect physical RCs from their switch consoles. The Battle Royale style has been popularized by Fortnite. Pay’s second announcement was a modern version of its original 80’s handheld machine.

Mario Kart: Home Circuit Oct Kto. The 16 will be released at 99.99, Nintendo said, while the Game & W: Ch: Super Mario Bros. device will launch on November 13 at 49.99 DL. It is not yet clear how much Super Mario 3D All-Stars will cost.

It is a classic remake that is expected to generate the most buzz for Nintendo as the holiday shopping season approaches. The company will try to attract gamers, especially Micro .ft and Sony are expected to launch their respective next-gen Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles.

The move is potentially welcome news for fans who have been longing for a big announcement from Nintendo for some time, and some industry observers feared it could help for a pay gaming pipeline for the firm.

Shares of Nintendo, which is currently up 36% since the beginning of the year, corresponded to Broad Slip in tech stocks around the world.

Matt Pistella, a video game industry analyst at market research firm The NPD Group, called it a “smart move”, noting that Nintendo chose to remaster for the Switch, three of the best 30-selling Mario titles in all. America

Pistella said in a tweet on Thursday that “limited nature (copies) should result in larger digital share optics and switch customers becoming more accustomed to digital purchases.”

During the first quarter of the fiscal year, digital game sales increased 56% of Nintendo’s total software sales during the epidemic. Sony, meanwhile, said it made 74% of the games sold on its PlayStation 4 console in its most recent quarterly results, the highest number on record.

Nintendo reported an 8% climb in profit in its most recent financial report, which saw a steady increase in demand for video games as people waited to escape at the time of the Video Comit-1 outbreak. It has particularly benefited from its Animal Crossing: New Horizons title, which has risen in popularity since its March 20 release and is already the second best-selling title on Switch.

The company is reportedly set to release an upgraded version of the Switch next year and is considering adding more computing power and 4K graphics to the device. Nintendo has not commented on whether this will be the case. If true, it would be Nintendo’s third iteration of the switch, which the company introduced last year after Switch Lite.
