Nikola increases 7% as the company opens $ 5,000 reserves for its electric van (NKLA)

The opening of a $ 5,000 reservation ticket for an electric van that has not yet been produced as a prototype has sent Nikola Corp. to increase as much as 7.4% to $ 68.25 on Monday.

Dropping $ 5,000 into the reservation before November 15 will guarantee consumers a ticket to Nikola World 2020, a $ 5,000 discount when they purchase the vehicle, and the opportunity to win a Badger at the official truck presentation.

The company announced that it will begin accepting reservations for its Badger truck starting at 11 am Monday. Additionally, the company is opening reservations for its electric WAV jet ski and its NZT electric off-road vehicle.

Nikola World 2020 is a three-day event that includes a live concert, a party for reservation holders and the official presentation of the Badger truck. According to the company, limited trips will also be offered on the Badger truck.

Nikola said he plans to announce an OEM partnership with an automaker that will help build the Badger electric truck ahead of Nikola World in December.

The Badger truck will be available in two models: the battery electric vehicle, which has approximately 300 miles of range, and the fuel cell electric vehicle, which has approximately 600 miles of range.

Nikola has been crying since completing her reverse merger and went public earlier this month. The company’s shares soared more than 100% in a single day and for a brief moment it beat Ford in market valuation despite selling zero cars and not expecting to generate revenue until 2021.

Nikola shares rose more than 130% in the past month.
