On June 7, Nicole Carroll, co-director of training and one of the longest-serving employees at CrossFit Inc, decided to resign and leave the company. This morning, in an Instagram post, Carroll announced that he would return.

A great thing: Nicole Carroll’s return to HQ is a big step for the company as the CrossFit community took its loss hard and even created an online petition asking you to return to the staff. It also represents a significant vote of confidence for incoming owner and CEO Eric Roza. Many in the community see Carroll as a guiding force and will understand his movement as an incredibly positive sign of the changes taking place at the top of the company.

From his statement: “A little over three weeks ago I resigned from my position at CrossFit. Today, I couldn’t be happier to make the announcement that I will be back, ”she said.

  • “Moving away from something I spent so many years helping to build; My livelihood, the only race I have ever known and a team that I love very much, was one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make; both personally and professionally. Although it may seem that a single problem or instance caused my departure, this was not the whole, “he continued.
  • However, that is in the past. Right now, I want to focus on the present and my hope for the future. “
  • “I am very encouraged by the conversations I have shared with Eric Roza (@rozaeric) during the last weeks. In fact, with each interaction, I feel increasingly optimistic. There is hope and healing in the air for the community. There is a genuine commitment to creating a healthy and inclusive company culture, repairing relationships, innovating forward, and restoring a sense of pride in the CrossFit name. I want to be part of this future ”, he concluded.
