Nick Kyrgios criticizes Alexander Zverev, world tennis player

Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios criticized Alexander Zverev and the tennis world after videos of the German player’s party appeared while allegedly isolating himself.

Zverev voluntarily isolated himself after several tennis players tested positive for COVID-19 after participating in Novak Djokovic’s unfortunate Adria Tennis event last week. Zverev announced that he had tested negative after the event was canceled.

In an Instagram post, Kyrgios condemned Zverev’s actions and rated the world’s number 7 as “selfish.”

“I see more controversial things happening around the world, but one thing that caught my attention was seeing Sasha Zverev, again man, again. How selfish can you be? How selfish can you be?

“If you have the audacity to post a tweet that caused your management to write on your behalf saying that you will isolate yourself for 14 days, and apologizing to the general public for jeopardizing your health risk, at least you have the audacity to stay inside for 14 days My God.

“This tennis world is really pissing me off. How selfish can they be?”

Kyrgios has expressed condemnation of Djokovic’s decision to organize the tennis tournament that saw the World No. 1, Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki, all of whom tested positive for coronavirus.

The players witnessed parties in crowded nightclubs before the end of the event was canceled after Dimitrov tested positive for the virus.

Kyrgios has also voiced criticism of the USTA’s decision to organize the United States Open despite the continued increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.
