The NFL Players Association announced that 95 athletes have tested positive for COVID-19 as of Tuesday.

The results come as teams begin to welcome rookies to training camps, with the full rosters expected to report before July 28.

On Monday, the NFL and NFLPA announced that tests for the coronavirus would be conducted daily during the first two weeks of training camp as part of a settlement reached by the two sides. If the positivity rate drops below 5 percent after two weeks, the tests will go to alternate days.

Players must produce two negative tests 72 hours apart before they can enter the team facilities.

“Our union has been pushing for the strongest testing, tracing and treatment protocols to keep our players safe,” the NFLPA said in a statement. statement. “The testing protocols we agree on are a critical factor that will help us return to work safely and give us the best opportunity to play and finish the season.”
