NFL Drew l’k ‘proud’ to hear Andy Reed’s compliments on his game as QB.

With Denver Broncos on deck to host the Kansas City Chiefs, head coach Andy Reid made himself available through a conference call on Wednesday. Coach Reed raised some eyebrows around the NFL about what the Broncos had to say about QB Drew Lock.

“Some guys are just playing big. He’s big but he plays big in the pocket, ” Reed told reporters Wednesday. “He’s not agile at all. He’s got a nice touch. He seems to have a great feeling for what he’s been told to do. And the beautiful thing is that he’s getting better over time.”

Clearly, Reed has liked what he has seen so far from the Lock story, entirely as a quarterback. Still, it would be wise for fans not to read Reed’s comments too far away as there is no such thing as ‘coachespeak’ and compliments.

However, Reed’s words reached Lok’s ears. After Wednesday’s practice, Locke shared his reaction to what the chief coaches had to say about him.

“Any compliment from Andy Reed is that you can take it to the grave and feel proud, that’s for sure,” L said that Wednesday.

L’S’s father, Andy Luck, played for Reed at the University of Missouri in the late 1980s. I’m not sure how much Drew Coach knows Reed personally but he has heard a lot about the ruling world champion head coach from his dad’s lips.

“My dad always spoke a lot to him during his playing days,” Lock said of Reed. “He’s very respected in Kansas City wherever you go and he’s well respected in the NFL. He kept up with a great team that won the Super Bowl last year. As I said, any compliment from him is great.”

Kudos Tool for acting as he was here before. It wouldn’t cross well if the young QB blushed and the ‘wonder, shakes’ asked about Reed’s compliment went away.

Like an early quarterback in the league, Locke took Reed’s comments fairly quickly and, worth it, the Pte coach paid tribute to his relationship with his father, and gave his hat to Reed’s long-awaited Super Bowl ring. The Broncos QB “Darth Vader” is more focused on becoming a villain and harassing the Missouri-based chiefs and his friends and family members who remain loyal to Red and Gold.

Sunday’s matchup will be yet another ice game, with fans being denied the opportunity to watch anything remotely like an aerial fireworks show. Lock’s first loss as a pro came in the 15th week of last week in Kansas City, he fell 23-3 in the bitter cold and driving snow.

According to sportsbatting.com, the chiefs have been favored by 9.5 points. If Lock and Broncos ‘offense could improve the momentum created by the New England Patriots’ 18-18 upset team last week’s change of odds, and the young QB could get anything on the page with its own receivers and offensive coordinator. Can happen.

The Broncos are again big house housewives. But you know what they say.

Any sunday.
