Labor leader Jacinda Ardern took a break from the campaign to meet the streamer and try her hand at traditional Maori wood carving.

Yesterday, Ardern shocked viewers of the woodcarver when she showed up unannounced while he was working on a piece in his backyard.

“I probably gave everyone an extreme close-up,” he said as he entered the scene.

Broxh then showed him his Twitch setup and explained the philosophy that caught his eye on the platform.

“I tell you every time not to upload me, just take care of yourselves,” he said as someone gave away five subscribers on his channel.

Ardern then asked if he could teach her some carving techniques and the pair went to work.

“Can we talk about the prime minister in the chat, please?” Broxh asked as he unraveled.

After Ardern left, Broxh let out a huge sigh and added incredulously, “Yes, that happened, whānau.”
