A man is arrested after what Stuff understands there were two raids in the Christchurch suburb of Upper Riccarton.
He allegedly illegally entered the two properties, near the Bush Inn Mall, on Thursday between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m.
So far, the police are keeping quiet about the incidents, but it is understood that two women were attacked.
Detective Sergeant Major Colin Baillie urged residents who may have had a “prowler” or noticed unusual activity in the area to contact them.

“A man is now helping us with our investigations,” he said.
“We are in the early stages of understanding what has happened today and if you notice a loitering on your property, or any unusual or suspicious activity, we urge you to contact us as soon as possible,” he said.
“Support is being provided to those affected by these events this morning.”
Anyone with information who could help call the police at 105 and refer to Operation Linen was asked.
