Warning, if you are an arachnophobic, look away now, because what you are about to witness will certainly give you nightmares.

They say “only in Australia” for a reason because this is the only place in the world where you will find a giant crab-like spider known as a hunter.

But the TikTok video of a female arachnid has taken the word scary to a whole new level after she discovered a spider infestation behind a wall painting.

The footage shows a crowded kitchen bench before the camera flips up to show bright red and yellow surf painting.

On top of the artwork there are hundreds of baby hunters on the wall and ceiling.

The woman can then be seen removing the paint to reveal the massive hunter mother surrounded by her children.

Understandably, the clip, titled “Australia Only”, left people around the world in utter dismay.

“He would literally die,” wrote one woman.

“This is a nightmare thing,” declared another.

“At first I thought they were flies. That would have been a nightmare,” someone else wrote.

Most of the commenters joked that the woman should simply “set the house on fire.”

“How fires start in houses,” said one person.

“Give them the keys and cya later,” added a woman.

“Oh hell no, Huntsman’s season is in full swing,” commented another.

One woman in a similar situation said she “just sucks them up and they’re gone,” while others shared their equally terrifying experiences.

“STOP. One Christmas we brought the tree from the garage and the next night we noticed a swarm of baby hunters crawling towards the overhead light,” said one woman.

“No kidding, this happened to me last night,” wrote another.

While some said they thought the bugs were “cute”.

Hunter spiders prefer to mate when the weather is hot and humid, which means that summer is the time of year when you are most likely to encounter the spider.

The spider is not considered dangerous to humans, and while it does possess venom and a bite that can cause irritation, they are rarely known to attack.

Hunter spiders generally choose to run and hide rather than being aggressive, so you will often notice them crawling at top speed when you approach them.

They are members of the Sparassidae family, known for their speed and hunting mode.

They usually survive in homes or in the wild by eating insects and insects such as flies.

But either way, we can all do without an infestation of them in our homes.
