The Wiggles reportedly received death threats before arriving in New Zealand and entering controlled isolation.
Concerns arose in January when children’s entertainers were awarded places at MIQ ahead of their New Zealand tour.
Talking to The project On Thursday night, Blue Wiggle Anthony Field said they had received death threats via email.
“We were in Australia when it happened, we were just following orders … so we thought we did everything right, and then we started getting death threats via email.”

“We apologize for whatever we have caused and, of course, if we took the place of someone we shouldn’t have left, we would leave tomorrow or yesterday.
“Apologies for all the fuss we inadvertently caused,” Field said. The project.
A dozen of the group’s crew received vouchers for isolation spaces that were set aside for contingencies.
When asked if the death threats had been taken seriously and if the band needed additional security, a publicist for the tour declined to comment.
