A suspected low-flying meteor lit up the sky over the city of Yushu, in northwest China, on December 23.
Video of the event in the city in China’s Qinghai province showed a bright fireball streaking through and lighting up the dark sky.
The fireball was reportedly a fireball and may have dropped several meteorite fragments somewhere in the area.
A fireball is a very bright meteor.

Chinese social media reported that users said there were a series of large explosions as the meteor apparently made its way to Earth.
The China Earthquake Network Center said through its social media account that a suspected fireball landed near the border between Nangqian County and Yusu County at 7.25 am, but no one was injured.
The meteor was also seen by passengers on a plane traveling from Xi’an to Lhasa as it streaked through the sky.
