The United States is precisely two weeks away from Election Day and two days away from the final debate.

With that in mind, Joe Biden has been largely absent from the election campaign, taking the time to prepare for the debate.

President Donald Trump is taking the opposite approach and continues to hold massive political rallies. This morning he spent the better part of an hour giving an extensive interview to Fox News.

That interview didn’t seem to upset the president, but another one later did.

At around 4 p.m. local time, Trump tweeted a short video of 60 Minutes reporter Lesley Stahl at the White House, shaming her for not wearing a mask.

It came after he sat down for an interview with Stahl, which will air Sunday, along with another with Biden.

Experts immediately assumed that the conversation did not go well, because why else would Trump decide to preemptively attack Stahl’s credibility? His suspicions were quickly confirmed.

Maggie Haberman of the New York Times reported that Trump “abruptly interrupted” the interview about 45 minutes later because he was “irritated” by Stahl’s line of questions.

He then declined to participate in a planned “walk and talk” segment with Vice President Mike Pence.

Trump followed his initial tweet with a second, in which he fully denounced the interview and threatened to post it online.

Fox News quotes a source as saying the interview was “extremely hostile.” CNN’s Kaitlan Collins confirms there was “some drama.”

You would have to think that the 60 Minutes viewership on Sunday will be quite high, particularly with Trump drawing so much attention to the interview.
