Joe Biden is asking his supporters to “keep the faith” as the count progresses in the lengthy US presidential election.

The Democratic presidential candidate emerged after midnight (local time) to speak about the electoral results that have left the result in the balance. He spent the night watching the returns arrive from his home in Wilmington, Delaware, and then drove downtown in a motorcade to make his statement in front of the Chase Center.

He told a fan meeting that his hopes of victory remain high despite the uncertainty and warned them that it could take a day or more to know who won.

Meanwhile, Twitter hides a post related to Donald Trump’s elections, warning that its content is disputed and could be misleading.

Trump declared without evidence that the Democrats were trying to “steal” the election. He also falsely said that votes cannot be cast after the polls close. In another tweet, he predicted a “huge PROFIT”.

The US states allow voters to cast their votes if they are online when the polls close. Some states also allow mail ballots postmarked on Election Day but received later to be counted.

Twitter says placing a warning in the tweet is in line with its “Civic Integrity Policy.” The tweet is still visible after clicking the warning.
