A man who broke into the U.S. Capitol building while wearing a horned headdress is now willing to testify against former President Donald Trump.

Jacob Chansley, also known as the “QAnon Shaman,” is willing to appear before Trump’s impeachment in February, his attorney Albert Watkins told the Associated Press.

However, Watkins says Chansley has not yet contacted any member of the Senate.

Chansley has claimed he attended the January 6 riot “at the request of the president that all ‘patriots’ come to DC on January 6.”

He asked for a pardon from Trump but when this did not happen, Watkins said that Chansley felt “betrayed” and “misled” by the president.

“He regrets very, very much not only that he was misled by the president, but that he was in a position where he allowed that deception to put him in a position to make decisions that he shouldn’t have made,” Watkins said, according to NBC. from Missouri. affiliated television station KSDK.

More than a week after Donald Trump left the White House, shattering their hopes that he would expose a global cabal of powerful devil-worshiping pedophiles, some followers of QAnon have made up increasingly elaborate stories to keep their faith alive.

But others are turning to therapy and online support groups to talk about the damage caused when their beliefs collided with reality.

The QAnon conspiracy theory surfaced on internet message boards in 2017. At its core, the movement claims that Trump is waging a secret battle against the “deep state” and a sect of satanic child molesters that dominate Hollywood, big business, the media and the government.

It bears the name of Q, an anonymous poster believed by believers to have top-secret government authorization and whose publications are taken as predictions about “the plan” and the coming “storm” and the “great awakening” in which evil will be defeated.

Supporters of the movement expressed their support for Trump and helped feed the insurgents who invaded the United States Capitol this month. QAnon is also gaining popularity abroad.
