Tributes are reaching a Christchurch woman found dead in the Port Hills area.
Rosalie Anderson-Hill, 21, died near Summit Road in the Heathcote Valley between Sunday and early Monday.
Detective Sergeant Damon Wells said his death was being treated as “inexplicable” as police tried to piece together a chronology of his movements.
A Facebook group has been created for friends and family to share memories of the woman.
It has been inundated with messages since its inception.
“I will always miss you. You were that fun, free-spirited friend that I always adored and when we were together we just clicked,” read one post.
“I still don’t know what to say. Thank you for being a beautiful part of our lives, you will not be forgotten,” said another.
Anderson-Hill’s body was located by a member of the public near Cattlestop Crag.
Wells said police wanted to know of anyone who was in the area on Sunday, or who saw the woman walking in the Mt Pleasant, Lyttelton or Summit Road area overnight from Sunday to Monday morning.
Anderson-Hill is described as having a slim build, approximately 160 cm tall with blond hair with dreadlocks.
She was wearing a hooded robe, with white and blue paisley print
long pants and black and white shoes.
“You may have owned a world brand black longboard,” Wells said.
“It is about 1 meter long with a slight drop in the middle of the board.”
The police have not yet located his longboard and would like to hear from anyone who
I could have found it.
