Apollo 9 saw three NASA astronauts launched into Earth’s orbit for 10 days as a test flight before the Apollo 11 mission, which saw the first people land on the Moon. Commander James McDivitt, Command Module Pilot David Scott, and Lunar Module Pilot Rusty Schweickart took off from Earth on March 3, 1969, before spending 10 days in orbit, completing 151 trips around Earth.
The three men landed on Earth on March 13, just four months before the Apollo 11 mission left for the Moon.
While the trio was in Earth orbit, they took pictures of the Moon, and conspiracy theorists believe they have discovered something strange in some of the photographs.
Prominent conspiracy theorist Scott C Waring has been analyzing the images of NASA astronauts and discovered what he believed to be a fleet of UFOs traveling in front of the Moon.
The alleged UFOs, according to Waring, were up to three kilometers long and appear to be extremely thin.

The alien hunter posted on his ET Database blog: “Pilots and other eyewitnesses have seen and reported UFOs that were more than 2-3 km long, I have reported UFOs myself in NASA photos on the surface of the moon. They were about 10 km in diameter compared to the nearby crater whose diameter is known.
“Here again are three long, giant-sized UFOs flying past the moon and recorded by none other than NASA!
“It’s a glitch, a scratch, a cheap lens in range, sorry guys, NASA only buys the best quality and best performance for their observations, but thanks for playing.”
Some conspiracy theorists claim that the Moon could be occupied by aliens, and this is why NASA has not returned since the Apollo missions ended in the 1970s.

NASA said: “After returning humans to the Moon in 2024, NASA plans to establish a sustainable lunar exploration by 2028.
“Gaining new experiences on and around the Moon will prepare NASA to send the first humans to Mars in the mid-2030s.
“NASA hopes to select the new class of astronaut candidates in mid-2021 to begin training as the next class of Artemis generation astronauts.”
