U2 Bonus Tickets among the advantages of PM

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern personally received tickets to the U2 concert from the band’s leader, Bono.

He also received a lifetime subscription to Time magazine after appearing on the publication’s Top 100 Influencers list last year.

The prime minister’s advantages are revealed in the latest pecuniary interest register, which was published publicly this afternoon.

The registry indexes all the gifts that parliamentarians and government ministers have received in 2019, as well as a list of their assets and debts.

The list also shows that a first New Zealand MP had her flight to the UK to “observe the EU elections” paid for by the controversial New Zealand First Foundation.

And while MEP Clayton Mitchell was in the UK, his accommodation was paid for by the Brexit Party, it has been revealed.

The list shows that Bono gave Ardern tickets to U2, presumably since the band played in New Zealand in November last year.

The list shows that national leader Simon Bridges also received tickets for the show, but from Live Nation.

Ardern also received tickets to see Elton John from CRS Music.

Ardern met John before his concert, he revealed late last year.

“As you can imagine, he was busy preparing for his show. But I thought it was incredibly kind of him to give such a time, since he obviously felt incredibly bad,” he said at the time.

He had previously praised his leadership.

Ardern also received a lifetime subscription to Time magazine.

Everyone who appeared on the 100 Most Influential People list received a lifetime subscription.

The pecuniary interest list also shows that he was given a small Sèvres porcelain plate, which is on display at the Premier House, which he received from the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

Ardern was in Paris for the Christchurch call in May last year.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall (Prince Charles and his wife Camilla) gave him a frame from Ettinger and a signed photograph.

And as is normal for prime ministers, Ardern received several sports tickets last year.

Last year, these included tickets to All Blacks v Australia of New Zealand Rugby and tickets to Warriors v Rabbitohs of the Warriors.

Cuban cigars, rum and race tickets.

Other notable gifts include some cigars and rum for National Deputy Gerry Brownlee of the Cuban Embassy.

Foreign Minister Winston Peters also received cigars from the Cuban ambassador.

And it’s been revealed that he also bagged two season pass tickets for Ellerslie’s races, though he never went.

In addition to gifts, the pecuniary interest register also shows the assets that each MP owns.

For example, outgoing national parliamentarian Amy Adams has been revealed to own shares in 30 different companies.

Most of them are New Zealand companies like Z Energy, Kiwi Property Group and Xero.

But it also has shares in Alphabet (which is owned by Google) and Amazon.com.
