The All Blacks announced this afternoon that backup support Nepo Laulala has withdrawn from today’s event for personal reasons.

As a result, Tasmania’s front rower Tyrel Lomax was called up to the team and presented with jersey number 18.

Lomax had been released earlier this week for provincial duties with the Mako, who also play the Bay of Plenty in Nelson this afternoon, and was named to start on the blind side, but Foster has called him up for today’s test.

The late change comes after Foster had to adjust the starting baseline yesterday with Beauden Barrett removed from the lineup with an Achilles problem.

Barrett’s retirement saw Foster bring in Damian McKenzie at fullback.

Today’s game starts at 4pm.
