United Airlines denies that the family has been banned.

The mother of a two-year-old boy who was thrown from a US plane for refusing to wear a face mask says he is in a state of “confusion, disbelief, disgust and humiliation.”

A video posted to Instagram by Eliz Orban shows the boy’s anguish as he donned the mask on a United Airlines flight from Denver to New Jersey’s Newark International Airport.

“We got kicked off the flight because our 2-year-old didn’t wear the mask and we tried,” Orban says in the video.

The family flew to see the world-famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York. Orban said they were asked to leave the plane when his daughter “did not ‘obey’ and did not put on the mask.

Orban stated that the World Health Organization guidelines recommend “against masks for children under 5 years old.”

However, in a statement, United Airlines said its policy was for children under two years only.

“The health and safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority, which is why we have a multi-level set of policies, including the obligation for everyone on board for two years or more to wear a mask,” the company said. of the airline Heavy.

“These procedures are not only supported by guidance from the (Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and our Cleveland Clinic partners, but are also consistent across all major airlines.”

“We are investigating this specific incident and have contacted the family. We also reimbursed their tickets and returned their car seat and bags. “

There were reports that the airline had banned the family, but Heavy said United has denied it.
